Meet George Christou

The short version of who I am is right here... But if you want more, feel free to scroll down and read a longer version of my journey!

I’ve been in tech for over 30 years.

20 of those as a Computer Science academic—researching, teaching, and advising the next generation of engineers. But I wasn’t just in the classroom.
Behind the scenes, I was the “call-in guy” for projects in trouble.

From lean startups to large corporations, I was brought in when software projects were on the verge of collapse—late, over-budget, or dangerously close to failure. My job? Bring clarity. Solve complexity. Get things back on track.

Today, I work with CEOs and founders of software development and SaaS companies. Most of my clients are leaders who are brilliant at delivery, but they feel overextended, burned out, and not sure how to scale. They’re doing too much, making too many decisions, and stuck firefighting day-to-day.

I help them step into their role as real CEOs, by installing systems, creating clarity, and transforming their business so that it runs without grinding them down.

Why Work With Me

You’ve seen the ads. Everyone’s a coach now.

But very few coaches have spent 30 years in this sector, owning their own companies, teaching Computer Science, consulting on complex, high-stakes software projects, and helping founders like you untangle and rebuild their businesses from the inside out.

I’ve lived every layer of this world:
🔹 Academic.
🔹 Consultant.
🔹 Technical Lead.
🔹 Business Owner.
🔹 Coach to high-performance tech founders.

I don’t offer cookie-cutter advice. And I hate fluff. I bring deep operational insight, real-world experience, and the exact systems technical founders need to scale with confidence. So if you want a partner who understands both the code and the company—you’ve found him.

George's insights elevated our software strategy significantly. His expertise brilliantly guides CEOs towards achieving their goals, instilling confidence in our direction and decisions.

The Longer Version...

If you’re the kind of founder who takes pride in doing great work—you're my kind of person. You’ve probably built your company on reputation.
People trust you. You’re known for solving the problems others can’t. You get the job done.

That’s exactly how I started too.

As a young Computer Scientist, I loved the code. The challenge. The elegant solutions. That passion landed me in academia—where I taught, researched, and helped shape some of the brightest minds in the field. But even then, I had one foot in the real world.
Companies started calling when things got messy. When projects were teetering. When no one could untangle the tech. I was the one they called when failure wasn’t an option.

And I thrived on that. But eventually, I noticed that even the smartest teams fail without systems. Even the most talented founders burn out without structure. Even success can become a trap. And I realized I was building solutions for everyone else, while ignoring the fact that I had built a business that relied completely on me. Every decision, every delivery, every win needed my involvement. And that wasn’t sustainable.

So I rebuilt.

Not overnight, but I delegated outcomes, not just tasks. I created frameworks that scaled with people, not just tools. And I shifted from doing the work… to designing the machine. That’s the transformation I now guide other founders through.

If you’re exhausted from being the key person in your business (always on, always needed) there is another way. And it’s not about handing off quality or working less. It’s about working with more leverage, more clarity, and more peace of mind.
